Hello kids!

As you all know, today is St Valentine's day. We celebrate St Valentine's day by giving flowers, candies and cards to those we love. Here you have some poems to show your friends how much you love them.

In this unit, we are learning about the city and the shops we can find there. We are also learning some grammar related to the verb "There is/there are".

“There is(There's)” is used for the singular.

AFFIRMATIVE:

There's a computer in the classroom. Hay un ordenador en la clase.

There's a pet shop in my city. Hay una tienda de mascotas en mi ciudad.

NEGATIVE:

There isn't a computer in my classroom. No hay un ordenador en la clase.

There isn't a pet shop in my city. No hay una tienda de mascotas en mi ciudad.


INTERROGATIVE:

Is there a computer in the classroom? ¿Hay un portátil en la clase?

Is there a pet shop in my city? ¿Hay una tienda de mascotas en mi ciudad?

There are is used for the plural.


AFFIRMATIVE:

Hello kids!! A new school year started some days ago, and I've received my new pupils. I'm very happy with all of you, hope you like me, too.

As I told you, this year we're going to have fun, and above all, we're going to learn lots of new things.

This week we've been revising what we learnt last year, and also learning songs, like the one I left you here today, Sick of love.

Hope you enjoy it. I really like it and that's why I decided to share it with you.

¡Hola niños! Hace unos días empezamos un nuevo curso, y ya he recibido a mis nuevos alumnos. Estoy muy feliz con vosotros, y espero que vosotros también lo estéis conmigo.

Como os dije, este año vamos a divertirnos, y sobre todo, a aprender un montón de cosas nuevas.

Esta semana hemos estado revisando todo lo que aprendimos el año pasado, y también aprendiendo canciones, como la que os dejo aquí hoy, Sick of love.
